Mason Jar Desserts

Summer gatherings are often outdoors, and these jars are great for such events. Whether you want a classic dessert like banana pudding, a festive patriotic look with the berry trifle or something healthy and light like layers of fruit, you can’t go wrong with a layered dessert in a jar!

Mason Jar Desserts

Materials:
  • 3 Jardin Jars
  • Banana Pudding Ingredients (use you favorite no-cook recipe)
  • Berry Trifle Ingredients (pound or angel food cake, cut into cubes; fresh berries; whipped cream)
  • Layered Fruit Salad (watermelon, cantaloupe, pineapple, berries, kiwi, mint)
Instructions:
  1. Banana Pudding: Layer the ingredients in the jar, starting with the vanilla wafers, then banana, then the pudding mixture. Repeat layers as needed. Garnish with whipped cream, a vanilla wafer, and a dried banana chip.
  2. Berry Trifle: Assemble the layers — cubed cake, then berries, then whipped cream. To achieve a red, white, and blue look, use blackberries, raspberries, and blueberries.
  3. Fruit Salad: Pick fruit with contrasting colors and cut into slices or small cubes. Layer the fruit in the jar and garnish with a mint leaf.
